Upgrade Our Colleges.
Prepare East County for the Future

Measure G will provide funding for classroom and facility upgrades to give East County students safe, modern learning environments and help prepare them for careers in our local economy.
The bond will focus on three major areas:

Infrastructure Repairs

Aging infrastructure, classrooms, and support spaces at both colleges are in need of repair and modernization.
Measure G will help repair and replace critical building and infrastructure systems and improve campus facilities so students, faculty, and staff have safe, accessible, and functional places to learn and work.

Classroom Upgrades

As technology rapidly advances, East County students need classrooms, laboratories, and hands-on training spaces that keep pace with today's workforce.
Measure G will help fund classroom upgrades, repairs, and replacement of outdated facilities and equipment so students can develop the skills they need to compete for local jobs and careers.

Fire and Safety Upgrades

Some campus safety systems are aging and need improvements to better protect students, employees, college facilities, and surrounding neighborhoods.
Measure G will support fire and safety upgrades, including improvements to water infrastructure, campus access, gates, and other critical safety systems to help campuses better prepare for wildfires and other emergencies.

"The San Diego County Taxpayers Association supports this measure because it reflects the principles taxpayers expect: strong fiscal accountability, independent oversight, and responsible financial management. The Grossmont-Cuyamaca Community College District has earned the public's trust by managing previous bond funds responsibly, and this measure continues that commitment with annual independent audits, a citizens' oversight committee, full public disclosure of all spending, and no increase to the current tax rate. It's a responsible investment in our community colleges that protects taxpayers while preparing students and our workforce for the future.”
